Fed-Tax.net is a new entity, formed specifically for the purpose of enabling cost-effective, fair, and true local sales tax collection and remittance. Our technology team has been extensively involved in large scale development, deployment, and support of Internet-based services in environments with extremely high transaction volumes with financially sensitive information in intensively taxed and regulated industries. Our executive team has first-hand experience at growing companies into sustainable businesses all the way through to highly profitable public companies. What motivates us most in our efforts with Fed-Tax.net is a belief that automating local sales tax collection is a significant business opportunity as well as a significant civic opportunity.
Management BiographiesR. David L. Campbell Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Before leading the formation of FedTax.net in early 2009, Mr. Campbell has been directly involved in several technology start-ups. Most recently in 2005 he founded Deep9 Corporation, a company which provides secure remote data archival for regulatory compliance, including Sarbanes Oxley, SEC 17a, and HIPAA. Prior to establishing Deep9, he was Chairman and Founder of Punch Networks from 1995 to 2005, and held various executive positions throughout that time, including: President and CEO from 2002 until July 2005, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development from 1998 to 2001, and as President and CEO from inception in 1995 until 1998. Mr. Campbell earned both a B.F.A. and a B.I.D. from Rhode Island School of Design, where he also earned the inaugural Rachel Carson award for excellence. Mr. Campbell has authored over twenty patents applications, and has five issued U.S. Patents. Paul E. Onnen Chief Information Security Office, Chief Technology Officer, and Co-Founder Mr. Onnen brings over 22 years of experience directing, developing, and executing innovative software, hardware, and web-based products/services for leading organizations including Google, Expedia, WebMD, Nordstrom.com, and Intel. Mr. Onnen has been recognized for his expertise in traditional software/hardware development functions, as well as emerging Internet technologies and computer privacy/security issues. He was recently recognized by InfoWorld as CTO of the Year in the Retail Sector, and was recognized by CTO Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential CTOs in the country. While at Expedia he led the effort to re-architect and successfully launch a new version of the Expedia.com platform, the largest such project in the company's history. While at Nordstrom he successfully directed a full-scale redesign and launch of Nordstrom.com’s e-commerce site and B2B system, resulting in numerous awards and record sales revenues. Mr. Onnen earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics with concentration on Computer Science from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mr. Onnen has authored twelve patent applications, and has six issued U.S. Patents. Beatrice Vaccaro Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing Beatrice Vaccaro, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, has over 20 years of strategic and tactical experience in sales and marketing. In her most recent role with MasterCard International, she focused on business-building opportunities in e-commerce and emerging technologies. During her tenure at MasterCard, she led the roll out of MasterCard’s SecureCode protocol to internet retailers across the US. Ms. Vaccaro also held positions in marketing and product development at American Express, Avis Inc., and People’s United Bank. She received her B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her M.B.A. in marketing from New York University.
Chris Greathouse Vice President of Engineering, and Co-Founder Mr. Greathouse has over 14 years of software development experience specializing in Microsoft technologies. Mr. Greathouse is currently the President of Arciture, LLC a custom software development company he founded in 2004. Prior to Arciture, he has worked for a range of companies including Xilinix, Rational (now IBM), Punch Networks, and Microsoft. Mr. Greathouse earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Seattle Pacific University. Fred Schapelhouman Chief Financial Officer, and Co-Founder Mr. Schapelhouman has over 20 years of experience in various senior financial roles. In addition to his duties with Fed-Tax.net, he is also currently the CFO for Xeriton Corporation, a technology services firm. Prior to joining Xeriton in 2005, he was the CFO of Insightful Corporation, a $20 million, 100 employee, public company (NASDAQ: IFUL). Prior to Insightful, he was CFO for Aris Corporation, a $60 million, 400 employee, and publicly traded professional services firm. Prior to Aris, he founded CFO Plus, where he provided services as both a project-based and interim CFO for early stage technology companies. In this capacity, he served as Interim CFO for a variety of software companies including Endura, nth Degree Software, Invisic, Tidemark, and Punch Networks. He also provided interim CFO and financial consulting services to clients in the service, medical and e-commerce industries. Prior to CFO Plus, Mr. Schapelhouman was Vice President of Finance at Sierra On-Line, a $200 million 1,000 employee publicly traded company. He has been involved in a variety of mergers over the last ten years. Mr. Schapelhouman earned a B.S. in Accounting from San Jose State University, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Golden Gate University. He is a CPA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) and CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst). Carl Stefanelli Vice President, Sales Mr. Stefanelli has over 25 years of experience in the payments industry. His background has focused on product development, marketing and sales. This has included debit and credit card programs, payment security products and numerous e-commerce initiatives. Most recently he led a team at MasterCard that was focused on e-commerce applications for card programs including eWallets, Person-to-Person payments, micropayments and alternative payments. Carl has also held positions at Citibank, Advanta Bank and Indiana National Bank. He was also a senior consultant with Benton International. He received a B.A. from Franklin College. AdvisorsCornelius Willis Strategic Advisor and Co-Founder Mr. Willis is currently the Vice President of Solutions Marketing at VMWare, has more than 20 years of experience building and leading marketing teams, and has worked for numerous technology companies and startups as an advisor, founder, and executive. Mr. Willis is one of the co-founders of Fed-Tax.net, having served as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer during the Company's first year+ of operations. In previous roles, Mr. Willis has served as Vice President of Developer Marketing at BEA Systems, Vice President of Marketing at Qpass and Director of Platform Marketing at Microsoft. During his 10 years at Microsoft, Mr. Willis was also a technical evangelist and served as the group product manager for the Visual Basic programming system. Mr. Willis earned a B.A. from Stanford University. |
